Abellio Greater Anglia completes platform upgrades across region

Abellio Greater Anglia has completed a programmeto upgrade platforms at six stations across the region’s rail network.

Railpassengers in the region are now benefiting from resurfaced platforms, including replacementcopers (slabs at the platform edge) and tactiles (the contoured slabs next tothe copers which warn passengers both visually and by their texture of approachto the edge of the platform) at Attleborough, Brampton, Great Chesterford, Kennett,Needham Market and Roydon stations.

In addition, repairs have been carried out to the buildings and canopiesat Needham Market, Prittlewell, Hockley and Great Chesterford stations.

This work was funded by the Department for Transport to help enhancestation facilities for customers.
