Abellio Greater Anglia employees nominated for Achievement Awards

Five Abellio Greater Anglia employees have beennominated to receive an Abellio Achievement Award for their commitment anddedication that has had a positive impact on the business and its customers.

The Awards highlight the individuals andteams from across Abellio’s operating companies, comprising almost 13,000employees, who deserve special recognition from the parent company.

Abellio Greater Anglia managers, JackieGibbs, Head of Service Quality Standards, Max Eaves, IT Project Manager, EleniJordan, Head of Sales, Keely Pagdin, Head of Customer Service - West, DeanWarner, Coasting Project Lead and the Single Tender Agreement (STA) NegotiationTeam have all been singled out for praise.

Jackie Gibbs, Head of Service QualityStandards, is nominated for the ‘Bringing the Abellio Values to Life Award’ forleading the company’s successful Inspire training programme and launching a newelement, new to the rail industry, ‘Inspire Sales’, as well as implementing the‘Action Plan’ initiative, which, during times of service disruption, sees colleaguesfrom across the business responding in a planned and effective manner toprovide extra customer service support on platforms. The overall effect of Jackie’scommitment to improving the customers experience contributed to a 4% increasein customer satisfaction in the Spring 2014 National Passenger Survey results.

Max Eaves, IT Project Manager, is nominatedfor the ‘Abellio Employee of the Year Award’ for his proactive, enthusiasticattitude, complete dedication to his job and always volunteering to help otherareas of the business, even giving up a weekend to provide passenger assistanceon the platforms at Chelmsford station during the V Festival.

Eleni Jordan, Head of Sales, is nominatedfor the ‘Abellio Way – Areas of Excellence Award’ for building a new strategyfor the Stansted Express rail service which has seen 12% growth as a result.

Keely Pagdin, Head of Customer Service –West, has been nominated by her colleagues for the ‘Abellio Leader of the YearAward’ for tirelessly leading, engaging and supporting her entire team of 21managers and 380 staff in delivering the standards of service expected bycustomers.

Dean Warner, Coasting Project Lead, isnominated for the ‘Abellio Innovator of the Year Award’ for developing asolution to minimise the disruption to customers during essential overhead linerenewals being carried out by Network Rail in the Metro area. Traditionallythese works required all four lines to be closed, but in partnership with teamsfrom across Abellio Greater Anglia and Network Rail, Dean found a solution thatmeant only two lines were closed and trains could still run, minimising theimpact on services.

The winners will be announced at an Awardsceremony on 12th March.
