Greater Anglia will run revised timetables over the festive period.
Passengers should check before they travel to find out about last train times on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve and details of rail replacement services.
Network Rail is carrying out engineering works between 24 December and 2 January and there will be no train services between Ingatestone/Witham/Billericay and London Liverpool Street.
Buses will replace trains between Ely and Cambridge on December 31 and January 1.
Track and Overhead Line renewal work is taking place between Cheshunt and Bishops Stortford all day on January 1. Non-stop buses will replace Stansted Express services between Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport. Rail replacement buses will also operate between Cheshunt and Hertford East/Bishops Stortford.
