Rail passengers arebenefiting from improvements to Attleborough rail station, carried out by AbellioGreater Anglia.
The refurbishment projectincludes:
The complete resurfacing of platform 1, including replacementcopers (slabs at the platform edge) and tactiles (the contoured slabs next tothe copers which warn passengers both visually and by their texture of approachto the edge of the platform) and improvements todrainage and repairs to the station building and fencing;
The complete resurfacing of platform 2, including replacementcopers and tactiles, as well as removal ofvegetation, redecoration of the waiting shelter, additional lighting and newplatform drainage.
Abellio Greater Anglia’s Area CustomerService Manager, Neil Grabham, said, “Abellio GreaterAnglia is committed to upgrading stations across the network to improve thetravelling experience. The improvements carried out at Attleborough stationresult in a safer, smarter and more pleasant station environment for ourcustomers.”
Furtherworks will be carried out at Attleborough during early 2016 to resurface andlandscape the car parking area.
