Rail passengers arebenefiting from improvements to Hockley rail station as Abellio Greater Angliacontinues work to refurbish the station buildings, canopy, platforms andfootbridge.
Work carried out so farincludes:
canopy renewal andredecoration on both platforms;
repairs to buildings andwalls throughout the station
vegetation clearance;
an upgrade of theelectrical connection between the platforms.
The remainder of thework will be carried out during the weekends of 12/13th March and19/20th March and includes:
repairs to both platforms,including resurfacing, spot replacement of damaged copers (slabs at the platformedge);
installation of newdrainage;
footbridge renovation.
