Lucy Frazer MP to visit Kennett station improvements

Local MP Lucy Frazer will meetrepresentatives of Abellio Greater Anglia at on Wednesday 6th Aprilto find out about the project to upgrade the platforms and waiting rooms.

Rail passengers arenow benefiting from improvements to the station, which include:

  • Resurfaced platforms, including replacement copers (slabs at theplatform edge) and tactiles (the contoured slabs next to the copers which warnpassengers both visually and by their texture of approach to the edge of theplatform)

  • Installation of new waiting shelters on both platforms

  • The demolition of redundant buildings

  • The installation of new cycle parking hoops, increasing the currentcycle parking capacity from 12 to 18.

LucyFrazer commented: “I am delighted to visit Kennett Station to see the work thatAbellio Greater Anglia has undertaken to improve the station. Investment ininfrastructure is key and I was pleased to hear of the improvements that hadbeen made at Kennett. Local residents and commuters will benefit from thisinvestment."
