Melton and Woodbridge stations repainted

Passengers using Meltonand Woodbridge rail stations, on the East Suffolk Line, are benefiting from abetter station environment, thanks to improvements carried out by AbellioGreater Anglia.

Both stations have been repainted in Abellio Greater Anglia colours,including alltimber, steel work and lighting columns.

At Melton, the station lighting has also been upgraded.

Investing in upgrades to stations across thenetwork is extremely important to Abellio Greater Anglia, demonstrating ourcommitment to providing excellentfacilities and service to our customers.”

The improvements follow the installation of a new ticket machine and CCTV at Halesworth (also on the EastSuffolk Line) in June which was part-funded by Suffolk County Council and theDesignated Community Rail Development Fund.

An additional 25,000passenger journeys were made in 2014 on the line which runs from Ipswich toLowestoft – bringing the annual total to a record 675,000 passenger journeys.
