New waiting room opens at Bishop's Stortford rail station

Railpassengers using Bishop’s Stortford rail station are benefiting from a betterwaiting room thanks to an improvement scheme completed by Abellio GreaterAnglia.

Theexisting waiting room on the London-bound platforms has been enlarged toprovide additional seating and now has longer opening hours (from 0600 until0050 seven days a week).

Thenew facility also benefits from new flooring and a new ceiling, disability legislation-compliantpush button automatic doors, a train departure summary screen andenergy-efficient heating, as well redecoration in Abellio Greater Angliacolours. It also offers passengers the opportunity to charge laptops and mobilephones and work while they wait.
