Rail passengers using Diss, Stowmarket and Manningtree rail stations are to benefit from a better waiting environment thanks to an improvement scheme being carried out by Abellio Greater Anglia.
The work began on Monday 13th July toupgrade both waiting rooms and the toilet facilities.
The new waiting rooms will benefit from DDAcompliant push button automatic doors, a train departure summary screen andenergy-efficient heating, as well as new flooring and seating and redecorationin Abellio Greater Anglia colours. They will also offer passengers theopportunity to charge laptops and mobile phones and work while they wait with aspecially made wall mounted work top with plug sockets and three bar stools.
The work is due to be completed later thissummer and the waiting rooms and toilets will be out of use until the work is complete.
