Work begins to upgrade Shenfield rail station waiting rooms

Rail passengers using Shenfield railstation are to benefit from a better waiting environment thanks to animprovement scheme being carried out by Abellio Greater Anglia.


The work begins today, Monday 10th August, toupgrade the waiting room with DDA compliant push button automatic doors, atrain departure summary screen and energy-efficient heating, as well as newflooring and seating and redecoration in Abellio Greater Anglia colours. Itwill also offer passengers the opportunity to charge laptops and mobile phonesand work while they wait with a specially-made wall mounted work top with plugsockets and three bar stools.


The work is due to be completed later thissummer and the waiting room will be out of use until the work is complete.
