Work experience for Prince's Trust students

Nine young people from the Southend andBasildon area have been learning about customer service with train operatorAbellio Greater Anglia.


The train operator provided a two week workexperience placement for the 18-25 year olds as part of The Prince’s Trust ‘Getinto Customer Service’ programme, in partnership with South Essex College.


The nine young people completed two week’straining followed by two week’s work experience in customer service to helpthem progress into employment in the sector, working alongside the company’sWelcome Hosts at Shenfield, Wickford, Billericay and Southend Victoria railstations.


On completion of their work experience, thegroup enjoyed a celebration event at South Essex College, Basildon, on 17thJune. Following the programme, the youngpeople will receive support from The Prince’s Trust to progress intoemployment, education or training.
