Accessibility Tools
If you need help reading a page, click the 'Accessibility Tools' button on the top right of our website or in the main menu on tablets/phones
This will open our assistive toolbar which includes screen reading functionality, multiple reading aids, customisable page styling options, and an on-demand live translation feature for over 100 languages.
Screen Magnifiers
Screen magnifiers enlarge the page contents which can make it easier for some people to see.
Our website works with in-browser zoom magnification settings - here are different ways for changing the size of the page contents:
Mouse: Hold Ctrl and use the scrolling wheel
If you’re using a mouse which has a scroll wheel, hold Ctrl and scroll up (wheel away from yourself) to zoom in and scroll down (wheel towards you) to zoom out.
Keyboard: Hold Ctrl and the plus or minus key
To zoom in, Hold the Ctrl key and press the + (plus) key on your keyboard. If you want to zoom out, hold Ctrl and press the – (minus) key.
Adjust zoom using the internet browser
Internet Explorer
Click the settings button (cog icon) near the top right corner of the browser, hover your mouse over the Zoom menu option and click your desired zoom level.
Google Chrome, Firefox & Microsoft Edge
Click the menu button (3 dot icon) near the top right corner. Find the zoom section and then adjust it by clicking the plus or minus buttons.
Screen Readers
Screen readers are a useful tool for blind or visually impaired users as they relay the page contents as speech or braille. Here are some of the most popular free to use and paid for screen readers, click on their name to visit their website:
Changing Colour Contrast
Certain colour text and page background combinations can make it difficult for some people to see the text clearly. If you have a screen reader, you might already have a feature which lets you change the colour contrast between the text and page background. However, if you don’t have this feature, there are other ways you can change these:
Internet Explorer
Click the settings button (cog icon) and then select Internet options. In the general tab area, look for Accessibility under Appearance and choose the colours you want.
If you want to override all font and colour settings for websites, tick these checkboxes: Ignore colors specified on webpages, ignore font styles specified on webpages and ignore font sizes specified on webpages.
Google Chrome
You can download a high contrast web extension via the chrome web store
Firefox
Click the settings button (3 line icon) near the top right of the browser and then select options. In the general panel area, look for the Language and Appearance section and click colours. From there, you can change the colours of the text, page background and some links on certain pages.

How to use Access keys
Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 8+ and Safari
Hold ALT (Control + Option key on Mac) and press a shortcut key.
Try it yourself: Hold ALT (or control + option if you’re using a Mac) and press 0 to reload this page.
Internet Explorer (older version)
Hold ALT (Control key on Mac) and the shortcut key, then release both and press ENTER.
Firefox
Hold ALT, Shift (Control key on Mac) and the shortcut key.
Opera
Enter access key mode by holding SHIFT and ESC. A list of access keys will then appear – simply press the access key you want to use on the keyboard.
The Access key mode will automatically exit after you press an access key or load another page. If you want to close it yourself, hold SHIFT and ESC again.
Text browsers
Use the 'S' access key to go straight to the page content.
